lurking

While surfing the net looking for “interesting sites” to blog about, I heard someone say http://www.thecoolhunter.co.nz/ so I decided to give it a go. Now, thecoolhunter.co.nz is a website purely based on design. It shows all the latest up up to date ideas and designs of all the various disciplines. Two other websites that I found interesting were http://www.gucci.com/ and http://www.dolcegabbana.com/. These three websites are all quite similar because all three of then are advertising websites, they all display products and new designs.

At first I thought that this was the most un-interesting project that we have ever done. But heading towards the end of the process, I'm finding that browsing through other people's blogs is really quite interesting and you really get to know what people are like through their personal blogs. The ones that I liked the most and thought were laid out nicely were of course my friends blogs :) this is probabky because I saw their process and know how they work and usually wer have the same taste in style. Check out their blogs in my DESN 112 Links List.

space.light.interaction

Interior Architecture. What is it? People who do not know anything about Interior Architecture will automatically think "cushions, curtains, lamps, vases, decorations." The film that I created in May 2008 tried to portray the idea that Interior Architecture was about much more than just decoration, but is about light, space, ans interaction.
I tried to get that idea across by showing a decorative object in different environments, different lighting environments and by having people interacting with the particular object, in this case a vase.
I chose this particular project to write about in this blog because I was very passionate and enthusiastic about the message that was conveyed in the film. I believe the film conveyed the main idea that Interior Architecture is more about space, lighting and interaction in a manner that would urge people to WANT to understand the difference that they most probably would never even given a second thought about.

Interior Architecture -Not All About Decoration.
